The Stanford Multifuel range utilises the latest technology in order to burn two commercially available solid fuels, smokeless
coals and dry, seasoned wood, efficiently and cleanly, making the range a very fuel efficient form of heating for the home.
Choice and versatility
The multifuel range gives you the freedom to choose your preferred fuel and the versatility to switch to another fuel if necessary,
for example when a particular source runs out. Your heating needs may also change from day to day, you might want to use smokeless
coal for long, unattended burning simply for heating and use wood for those dark winter afternoons when the visual interest of
the burning logs is almost as important as the heat itself. It's this versatility that's at the heart of the Stanford multifuel
range of stoves which are as efficient at burning either type of fuel, leaving you free to simply enjoy the warmth and to
marvel at how little fuel you actually need in order to run your stove.
Real energy efficiency
Today, we all realise that heating our houses has its own particular environmental impact and this has led to renewed interest in
using more energy efficient types of heating. Because the requirements for burning wood and coal correctly are so different, it's
easy to assume that a multifuel stove is something of a compromise and won't achieve the standards set by single fuel stoves. While
this might be true of a stove adapted from a single-fuel design, it's not true of the Stanford multifuel range which has been
designed to be multifuel from the start of the process right through to its final manufacture.
Environmentally conscious
It's this focused effort that has enabled Nestor Martin to achieve some of the best heat efficiencies for multifuel stoves on the
international market (see diagram). All of their stoves are tested to meet the highest possible standards applicable to all relevant fuels.
The more heat efficient a stove, the less fuel is required and the less emissions. This is an important principle that Nestor Martin strives
towards at all times in its production of cast iron stoves for the international market. The range of Stanford's stoves shown on this website
is the result of many years research, development and refinement of the combustion process, teamed with the desire to constantly update
the overall design and look of the stoves.

Remote control options
Most of the Nestor Martin range of stoves can now be operated using one of two different remote control units which can
be ordered as an optional extra at the time of purchase or fitted in the future, giving you more flexibility and
comfort than ever before. Both types of remote control are contained in a single, stylish handset with clear, digital
displays and a keypad that is easy to use and program.
Single function remote control unit
Allows you to adjust your stove's heat output from the comfort of your chair.
Multi-function remote control unit
Lets you adjust the heat output from your chair.
Allows you to set the room temperature to your requires setting. The built-in sensor will monitor the temperature and
adjust the stove's function automatically to achieve the desired setting.
Has the ability to be programmed to suit your day to day needs, for example, it can be set to turn up at any given
time and safely turn down in your absence.
