With its tall and slim design, the SCAN 45 is ideal for small rooms. SCAN 45 is ideal for small rooms. SCAN 45 is available in a low or high model, in black or grey with a stainless steel insert in the top plate. You may also order an additional top plate of genuine soapstone and a decorative covering of the flue pipe. SCAN stoves are also designed for homes with air-conditioning systems It is usually complicated to use wood-burning stoves in homes with air conditioning systems because of the low pressure. However we have developed an efficient and functional solution to the problem. We have developed a system which can be fitted to most SCAN stoves. The system draws fresh air from the outside and into the stove combustion chamber through a pipe connection. It means that many SCAN stoves can now also be used for heating up your climate-controlled home. In some cases, when the door to the combustion chamber is opened, it may be necessary to mount an electronically controlled smoke extractor on the chimney, in order to equalise possible low pressure in the house.
